Bob Crawford is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Bob is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland’s International and Large Business Taxes Committee. He was the Convenor of ICAS’s Tax Practices Committee from 2005 to 2010 and was a member of its Public Practice Committee (which regulates the issue of practising certificates to ICAS members) from 2005 - 2011. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation's Management of Taxes and Owner Managed Business Sub Committees.
In April 2009 he was appointed as a member of the First-tier Tribunal (Tax Chamber) following 25 years of being a member of the VAT Tribunal. Bob also has extensive Board level experience having served as the Financial Director of a non profit making organisation with assets in excess of £30m based in central London for nine years until 2014.
Tax Advisers
Duncan specialises in UK and international tax planning for companies and private clients. He also deals with Trusts and Trust planning.
He also specialises in corporate reconstructions and has a keen interest in business and tax planning for firms and agricultural estates.
Duncan is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Derek has been with the firm since 1986 and is the firm’s longest serving employee. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. His extensive experience covers many aspects of taxation particularly in corporate and personal tax planning. He is regularly involved in valuing businesses.
Rachel has been with us since 1989 and is primarily involved with the completion of Self Assessment Returns for the firm’s personal tax clients.
Accountants and Auditors
David heads a team of accountants and trainees.
David has over 20 years’ experience in larger practice mainly in accounts, business support and advisory services. He has also spent over 15 years in industry and continues to have direct involvement in a number of businesses. With his background in farming and property he has a keen interest in landed estates and property investment and developers. He has a diverse range of experience particularly in owner managed businesses, new starts to groups and franchises. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
Outside work he is a keen motorcyclist, curling, skier, gardener and DIY enthusiast.
Adele has over 25 years experience of finance accounting both in industry and practice.
Outside of work she has been involved with sport national governing bodies and is a trustee of Garioch Gymnastics Club SCIO.

Bob Crawford is the owner of Jeffrey Crawford & Co, whose associated company, the VAT Planning Group Limited (VPG) works exclusively in providing VAT consultancy services, both domestically and internationally.
Working with leading accountancy firms enables VPG to bring a sound and practical approach to solving VAT problems.
VPG specialises in complex VAT partial exemption and non-business issues as they impact on, sports, cultural and education bodies in the non profit making and charity sectors. VPG acts as a consultant to a significant number of national and world sports governing bodies.
VPG also acts as a specialist VAT consultant on land and property issues, in particular listed building developments.
